1 Peter - A Word to Persecuted Believers

The Apostle Peter writes to persecuted scattered believes Jews and Gentile converts. To encourage   and strengthen them by instructing the flock of God, feeding them as Jesus had commanded him to do. Teaching them how to live the Christian life to be godly, obedient and loving. Peter seeks to prepare them for "suffering" a keyword appearing 15 times. By reminding them of our glorious salvation in Christ, our sure living hope of glory and of Christ power. He goes on to speak of are duties to the Church, and duties to civil authorities, to be good citizen, to the family wives to be chaste, husbands to be considerate. we to be courteous, forgiving, controlling our tongue, prayerful. Warning the elders, and the old and young to be humble and truthful, warnings against the devil.
