Genesis 25; - 34; - The Life of Jacob.

Jacob was a man of faith, an ordinary man with many faults and failings, when a young man he was a crafty schemer trying to do things his own way, instead of trusting in God to sort things out aright. As an older man he showed favoritism to his righteous son Joseph over against his evil brothers. But God used this weak man of God, transformed him into a man of prayer, and in his later days he was used to pronounced blessing on King Pharaoh of Egypt and Joseph two son.
