The Life of Peter

The Apostle Peter was an ordinary fisher man, when Jesus chose and called him to follow Him and said I will make you a fisher of men. Peter was first introduced to Jesus by his brother Andrew, when they were disciple of John the Baptist at that time. Peter was a man like us with many faults and failings one of which was he was too quick to speak and was always putting his foot in it. After three years of being with Jesus listening to Jesus's teaching, he had become a faithful man of God. Peter with James and John was one, of the inner circle of the disciples, a leader amongst the disciples. At Jesus arrest and trail they all flee, But John and Peter follow, but Peter when question is he a disciple of Jesus was fearful and denied Jesus. the cock crowed and he weep. But as Jesus had warm him it would happen, Jesus had prayed for him, after Jesus's resurrection Jesus seeks him out to restore him to usefulness in Gods Kingdom. O What a wonderful Saviour is Jesus, His care and His patience with His failing disciples and us. We can learn many lessons about Christ and from Peters life, of how we should to live for Christ. How amazing is Jesus that when we fall and fail Jesus, He can restore us again to usefulness in His service. But don't presume on His patience keep close to Him.
