Philemon - Forgiveness and Restoration

Paul's short letter to Philemon at Colosse, is a personal letter, asking him to forgive Onesimus. Who was his runaway slave, for under Paul's influence he has been converted, he has became a devoted servant of Jesus Christ. Clearly Onesimus has been a great help to Paul in prison, so Paul would have love to keep his help, but he was going to sending him back to his master. Philemon. Paul therefore commends him to Philemon, pleading that he will be forgiven and restored Excepted him as a brother, fellow believer in Christ and I am confident that you will do more than I have asked.
