Praying the Masters Way - John 17 & Matthew 6

Prayer is vitally important God expects all His adopted children to pray. The Bible both old & new testaments are full of examples of God people praying. Prayer according to Ephesian 6 is one of our two great weapons we have in our armoury. With one "God Word" God through it will speaks to us, and guides us. The other is "prayer" by which, we speak to our heavenly father God. All Christians should pray daily. There must be something very wrong if you don't pray daily. For as the hymns says "prayer is the Christians vital breath, the Christians native air," like air we cannot live without prayer. Luke tells us at least 15 times Jesus went aside, alone to pray to His Heavenly Father, "The path of prayer Thy self has trod Lord teach us, how to pray!" So, in these series we will look at Matthew 6; the pattern prayer Jesus taught the disciples to pray. Then in John 17; Jesus's longest recorded prayer,  the real Lord's Prayer, where Jesus prays for God and Himself to be Gloried, then for all his disciples to be kept, then looking ahead to the future for us who would believe on Him through their witnessing to be one. United in the truth and in Love for Christ and one another.
